Sour Boy Bitter Girl AND A.M. Pleasure Assassins

TWO PERFORMANCES

One of my real favorites, A.M. Pleasure Assassins came back to make up for a lost session. I really act like an idiot around this band. I am not sure why, I really really like their music. They make shit from somewhere real real real. They brought a friend, Sour Boy Bitter Girl that also makes really good music. Both are in Fort Collins. They should come to Denver more.

Kristi Stice

I first saw Kristi play a small studio space with Patrick Dethlefs and instantly fell in love with her, her vocals, and approach to song writing. It is playful, charming, smart, and enchanting. The recording and its content are of the upmost quality and I would argue could be enjoyed by just about every human with an appreciation for truthful music making. Stream and buy it here. "Red" def made me tear up and I wish "Courage" could play every time I walk through a park. So good. and "Green Grass" ah! I am glad I am revisiting this record.

Check her out live April 19th at Little Tree Acoustic in Lafayette!

Jesse Manley

Jesse Manley performed an extra stripped down set during his appearance at the Local Shakedown. Singing and playing just over the air room mics, he delivered beautiful tunes that make you slow down and stop to appreciate the simpler things. Frequently playing solo or with band mates, Manley's music is honest, captivating, and inspiring to those that wish to write solid songs from the heart.
