StaG

THE BAND IS UNBELIEVABLY GOOD STREAM NOOOW

I followed StaG a ways back and thought, yes, this is nice. Nothing struck me as TOO amazing. Then, Modbert hooked up this performance the night after their successful UMS show. Now "post local" StaG is operating out of L.A. and has their shit together and is a perfect example of a band that is growing and moving forward. Within a few minutes of this performance I thought, "they are probably going to "make it". OR something, whatever that means but seriously listen to this and watch for a new record from them coming soon.

Chimney Choir

Ladder 2012

The Local Shakedown was in good hands with Hannah filling in as I journeyed to Fiona Apple it up. Chimney Choir's performance highlights their soundscape influenced folk with rich accompaniment and harmonizing vocals.

DIVERSE SETS, STREAM 'EM NOW

Topics from the interview include a live performance recording in a pipe organ chapel studio, field recordings, undercover vans, feelers for a bass player, and a west coast tour.
Thanks to Hannah for filling in and Chimney Choir for providing such fine material.

Aaaand check out UMC coverage - many local band mini reviews!

This band rocks more then others.
...and thanks for for all the honey altoids.
